    Abstract Submission

    GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
    Pan Arab Endodontic Conference 2013

    Colleagues are cordially invited to contribute to the Scientific Program of the Congress by presenting an abstract of a clinical topic or the results of their research. The deadline for the receipt of abstracts is 30th of June 2013.

    All Abstracts must be submitted in English, along with the biographical data form, text must not exceed 250 words highlighting the main points the presenter/s wish to communicate.

    Interested presenters can participate in one of the following sessions: Oral Presentations, Oral Research or Clinical Presentations, Research Posters

    Abstract in all categories should be structured in the following sections:

    • Introduction
    • Aim of work
    • Materials and Method
    • Results
    • Conclusion

    A-Oral Presentations

    1/Free Lecture

    A “free lecture”should be of interest to clinicians in the field of endodontics applying advanced therapeutic techniques or diagnoses. Authors (including co-authors) should be a member of Arab Endodontic Society.
    Each speaker will be allowed a total time of 25 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

    2/Oral Research

    An “Oral Research Presentation” should be a report of a scientific or clinical investigation. Each speaker will be allowed a total time of 10 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

    3/Clinical Presentations

    A “Clinical Case Presentation” should be a demonstration of one or more endodontic cases that are of interest to clinicians due to their complexity of treatment, application of advanced therapeutic techniques or diagnoses.

    Each speaker will be allowed a total time of 10 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

    B- Research Posters

    A “Research Poster” presentation should be a report of a clinical or scientific investigation that is displayed on a poster board. At least one of the presenters should be available during the entire poster session to discuss the project with interested readers. All posters must be written in English. The author or co-author must speak English or otherwise bi-lingual paper handouts with english should be available for participants. Models and projected slides may not be used.

    a-Mounting of the posters:

    -Posters may be mounted on Thursday 28th and Friday 29 th  from 12:30 to 15:30
    -Accepted posters will be exhibited in the poster area during the meeting.
    A short oral presentation of posters will be scheduled. The presenting author must arrange to be available at the scheduled times.

    b-Abstract form Guidelines for poster presentation:

    Applications should be made in English using single spaced, size 11 Arial font.

    ABSTRACT TITLE: in bold, CAPITAL letters.

    AUTHORS: in lower case letters. The last name(s) of each author must be written first, followed by the initial(s) of the first name and separated from the next name by a comma. Underline the name of the presenting author. Do not include any titles, academic or other, such as Professor, Chairman, and President etc.

    INSTITUTION: in lower case letters. Write the name(s) of the institution(s), to which the authors are affiliated,
    city and country

    ABSTRACT: The text must not exceed 250 words in length and must not include any underlining, italics, illustrations or graphs.

    DIMENSIONS:should not exceed 110cm (height) x 80cm (width).


     Factors to be considered in Abstract selection:

     The selection will be made by the organizing committee according to the scientific merit

    • Interest to an international audience (Scientific and/or professional merit)
    • Relevance to both the Conference theme and sub-themes
    • The research work submitted should be original, innovative and should not have been presented elsewhere.
    • Contribution to knowledge, practice, policies or programs of nursing and/or health
    • Clarity of abstract

    Please note that abstracts which do not conform to these requirements will be rejected out of hand.
    Applicants will be notified if their abstract has been accepted by 1st of August 2013.

    Those Authors or (at least one) interested in participating in an oral presentation or a research poster, must have registered in the conference ahead.

    Accepted abstracts will be eliminated from the program if registration has not been received.

     How to SUBMIT

    • Abstract submission is accepted only via our website.

    • Early bird Registration deadline is August 30 ,2013

    • Abstract submission deadline is July 31, 2013.

    • To submit an abstract, sign in from the “Submission” button at the bottom of this page and follow the instruction.

    • Please make sure you retain your password, log in ID (e-mail address) as well as your abstract receipt number. (We cannot issue a new password or ID once you lose them.)

    • For modification/deletion to your entry, use your own password and ID to log-in to your personal abstract
      submission page.

    • Please note that the modification/deletion is accepted no later than 12:00 noon, June 30th 2013
