President’s Letter

On behalf of the Arab Endodontic Society and the Lebanese Society of Endodontology, I am honored to invite you to the third Pan Arab Endodontic conference which will take place in Beirut, Lebanon, from 28th till 30th of November 2013.

The theme is 'Striving for Excellence '. This theme has been chosen to contribute to delivering a world class creative showcase giving us all an opportunity to refresh and update our practice. It supports creative ideas that will inspire us all to give our utmost best in pursuit of excellence in our profession.

The conference will feature many of the world's most innovative and influential speakers in the field of endodontics as well as local speakers who will inform and inspire us. Every member of the Society is encouraged to attend, to present papers and ultimately to contribute to the success of this event. The meeting will offer hands-on workshops  for conventional as well as for surgical Endodontics, both accommodating a limited number of attendees - early booking is advised.

Hilton Habtoor is an ideal venue for the conference. It is located on a beautiful site commanding fine views of the Mediterranean; with a picturesque landscape of hills and mountains across the bay. It is ten minutes away from the historical city center of Beirut. This city has been continuously inhabited for more than 5,000 years, by diverse civilizations, from the Canaanite to the Ottoman. Beirut was traditionally the focus of activity in a major regional capital, including: banking, business and commerce, government and parliament, education, culture and leisure. It is a city characterized by the symbiosis of culture and innovation.

I do not expect that it will be easy to find free time, but if you do, or better, if you stay for addditional days before or after the meeting, you will be able to enjoy the numerous archeological sites and attractions in major cities. The Crusader Castle of Raymond de Saint-Gillesin Tripoli; The King Kiram temple in Tyre; the Fortress of Sidon; The oldest inhabited city in the world Byblos and of course Baalbeck’s Temple, Lebanon's greatest Roman treasure.

It is a pleasure to welcome you all to Lebanon. We will work to make it a memorable and enjoyable experience which we hope will be scientifically and socially rewarding as well.
